The title of the photo is "Stairs," but 3/4 of the photo is of trees. Perhaps a different angle or perspective would have aided this photo. The tight space of the actual staircase does make this a difficult subject to photograph. Try making a collage of three photos, an environmental shot - like the one above - then a detail of the stairs and any patterns in the wood. Just a suggestion, but stairs do make great pattern shots.

The composition in this photo is a little lacking. I assume the bird was the subject that drew you to take the photo. Maybe a tighter crop on the bird and a more saturated sky would help.

The highlights in this photo are a little blown. A longer exposure and a smaller F-stop would fix this, assuming you're using ISO 100 on your digital or film camera.

Great colours and expressions. You have done a great job of picking the subjects out of the background, giving the picture a nice perspective and 3-dimensional quality.

This has the potential to be a great photo. The subject's poise on the tightrope is incredible. The only thing I would recommend for the future is to use a telephoto lens, anything between a 105-300mm focal length, to blur the background and give the photo a 3D perspective. The white of the subject's robe and the white shirts of the crowd distracts the eye unless the crowd is slightly blurred. You can even do this post-processing in CS3 or CS4.
