Perhaps a different angle or perspective would have aided this photo. The tight space of the actual staircase does make this a difficult subject to photograph. Try making a collage of three photos, an environmental shot - like the one above - then a detail of the stairs and any patterns in the wood. Just a suggestion, but stairs do make great pattern shots.

Comment on Paint my future

Increasing the contrast and saturation would help this photo.

Comment on Kewannee

The composition in this photo is a little lacking. I assume the bird was the subject that drew you to take the photo. Maybe a tighter crop on the bird and a more saturated sky would help.

Comment on Paint my future

An interesting photo. I would have liked to see the expression on the boy's face as he studied the street art.

Comment on Hongdae sunset with tree

The highlights in this photo are a little blown. A longer exposure and a smaller F-stop would fix this, assuming you're using ISO 100 on your digital or film camera.

Comment on Queen and Princess

Great colours and expressions. You have done a great job of picking the subjects out of the background, giving the picture a nice perspective and 3-dimensional quality.

Comment on The tightrope walker

This has the potential to be a great photo. The subject's poise on the tightrope is incredible. The only thing I would recommend for the future is to use a telephoto lens, anything between a 105-300mm focal length, to blur the background and give the photo a 3D perspective. The white of the subject's robe and the white shirts of the crowd distracts the eye unless the crowd is slightly blurred. You can even do this post-processing in CS3 or CS4.

Comment on Buinsa Temple

I love the pattern in this photo. An interesting angle as well for a difficult subject to photograph given the confines of the space.

Comment on Paint my future

I'd like to see that. Most unusual and looks fascinating. Do they do it often in Seoul?

Comment on Wires

Simply neat!
