Title: Dawn at the Wynnum Waterfront
Author: Elly
Location: Wynnum, Brisbane, Australia
Description: Wynnum overlooks the great Moreton Bay, and is quite a hidden tourist spot. A short (walking) distance from Wynnum is Manly, with one of the largest marinas in the southern hemisphere. Boating, fishing, and travelling to one of the over 300 beautiful islands are popular things to do in this quiet beautiful place. When the sun rises and the sea is calm, and the birds awake - it is a good time to be on the esplanade.

About the photo:
I had only been in Seoul for about 4 days. My boyfriend and I were outside the entrance to the zoo. I was mesmerized by this guy! Despite all of the commotion all around him, he was playing a rhythm, a sort of meditation, on this cylindrical piece of wood. He would play a rhythm and then squat to the ground, onto his knees, bend forward, then slowly stand up, and repeat again. Nothing could distract him. I stood and watched him for what seemed like 10 minutes. When we came back past him, hours later, he was still following the same pattern that we had observed earlier in the day. Crying babies, screaming kids, families running all around him- but nothing was able to distract him from his flow. I locked into his rhythm and everything else simply faded away...

About me:
I've been in the photography field for over 10 years, working as a freelance artist, as well as a photography instructor and trainer. I've had a camera in my hand since about the age of 5! I enjoy experiencing new cultures, exciting situations and capturing moments to share with all!
